Alerts

Osclass provides an alerts system that allows users to receive notifications for new listings matching their search criteria. Alerts are also called as saved searches. Administrators can manage user alerts, modify their status, and delete unwanted alerts.

Managing Alerts

Administrators can manage alerts by navigating to Users > Alerts.

Available actions include:

  • Search for Alerts: Use filters to locate specific alerts.
  • Activate/Deactivate Alerts: Enable or disable alerts for specific users.
  • Delete Alerts: Remove expired or unnecessary alerts.
  • Bulk Actions: Perform mass activation, deactivation, or deletion of alerts.

Creating and Editing Alerts

Alerts are typically created by users when they save a search query. Administrators can view and manage these alerts but do not create them manually.

Alert Details

  • User ID: Identifies the user who created the alert.
  • Search Query: The criteria saved by the user.
  • Category: The category associated with the search.
  • Notification Status: Whether the user receives notifications.

Applying Bulk Actions

Administrators can manage multiple alerts simultaneously using bulk actions:

  • Activate Alerts: Enable alerts for selected users.
  • Deactivate Alerts: Stop sending notifications for selected alerts.
  • Delete Alerts: Remove multiple alerts at once.

Alerts execution and sending

Alerts are feature those heavily rely on setting of 2 features:

  • Cron - sending of alerts is made by hourly or daily cron. Without cron enabled alerts will not be triggered.
  • Mail server - as alerts are delivered via email, make sure you mail server is correctly configured and fully functional.
